Common questions
How do I start a fast?
Open Meridian and tap "Begin Fast." The timer starts immediately. You can also tap "I started earlier" to set a past start time.
Can I change my fasting protocol?
Yes. Go to the Timer tab and tap your current protocol name to switch. You can choose from presets like 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, 14:10, OMAD, 36h Extended, or create a custom protocol.
What do the metabolic phases mean?
Meridian shows metabolic states based on published research — from Fed through Ketosis, Deep Ketosis, and Autophagy. Tap the Science tab in the app for citations and full explanations.
Is my data private?
Yes. All data stays on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. If you enable iCloud sync, data is encrypted through your personal iCloud account. Read our full Privacy Policy.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings and tap "Export Data." Your fasting history is exported as a CSV file that you can open in any spreadsheet app.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Meridian. You can change or cancel your plan there at any time.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings → Delete All Data. This permanently removes all fasts, journal entries, and preferences from your device. Uninstalling the app also removes all local data.
